Can I book?

We have a small number of tables available to book. Contact us using the form above or on hello@twistbgc.co.uk.

What is the games session charge?

The games session charge is what you pay to come in and play games. Think of it like a ticket. Our games sessions charges go towards the cost of purchasing the games for the library, as well as repairing and replacing games and as paying our Game Gurus to be on hand to recommend and teach games.

Can I bring my own food/drinks?

No. Only food & drink purchased in the cafe may be consumed here.

If you are celebrating a birthday and want to bring a cake you are more than welcome to bring one in, light candles and sing, but you can’t eat it at the cafe. We’re more than happy to portion it up and package it for you so that people can take it away.

Can I purchase games?

Yes. We will have a small shop with board games and games-related goodies.

Are children welcome?

Yes they are. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult. Under 16s are welcome until 8pm, or later at the discretion of management. 16-17 year olds are welcome until 11pm.

Is Twist wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the ground floor is. About half of the ground floor tables are suitable for wheelchair users. Mobility scooters may or may not fit in the cafe depending on how full we are. The downstairs toilet is accessible. The first floor is only accessible by stairs.

Is there parking?

Yes, directly behind us is Mayflower Street East Car Park.

You pay when you leave and it’s £2.40 up to two hours, £3.30 up to three hours, £3.50 up to six hours.

Are dogs welcome?

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome, we’ll even have treats!
